It’s been unseasonably warm for a couple of weeks. The entire winter has been mild for that matter. If it keeps this up we’ll have to break out the fan . . . which is the subject of today’s photo.

This is my best friend, Emmy (short for Emmy Lou Hairy). She’s going to be ten years old next month and she, like most dogs, has developed a vocabulary of favorite words. “Chicken?” gets this look every time.

If this picture looks like the bathroom in a one hundred year old farm house…well that’s because it is. When we remodeled this house eleven years ago somebody (probably me) drove screws through the drywall and into that drain in the wall. Evidently it’s been leaking ever since. The subfloor around the toilet is mush.
Today I finished replacing the drain and hung new drywall. Maybe I’ll be finished with this by the summer. It’s almost enough to make me want to go back to renting.

Red skies in the morning mean sailors should take warning, is a saying I’ve heard my whole life. Today was a good example of why.
This photo is of today’s sunrise. By 9 a.m. it was raining cats and dogs. It cleared again by late afternoon.

Hardee’s has been getting my burger dollars for the last year (almost) since I started the Primal Lifestyle. They offer a low carb “Thickburger” which is lettuce wrapped and sans bun.
This photo is from our local Hardee’s. This location by the way is the slowest in service time of almost any restaurant I go to, never mind fast food joints.
