I took a little time this morning and had lunch at SLS with Savannah. As elementary school lunch time generally is, we were rushed, but we had a good time.

I’m loving Photoshop Lightroom 3 and all the publishing add-ons. This post was actually created within Lightroom during the “Export” process. I thought it would be interesting to show you the image I created today for my client Christmas Cards. I got the idea from a Planet Photoshop Christmas Lights Tutorial. I have both PS Elements 8 and PS CS3. I could do everything in the tutorial with Elements except vary the angle of the lights as they were drawn in with the brush tool. Cool effect. I think it’s fairly convincing. Let me know what you think.

Took a field trip with the SLS Second Graders yesterday

The South Lawrence School second graders visited Helen Keller’s Birthplace in Tuscumbia AL yesterday and I tagged along per Savannah’s request. I had never been to Ivy Green so she didn’t have to twist my arm. Everyone had a good time and learned a lot about Helen Keller. I’m planning on taking the family back to see “The Miracle Worker” drama at Ivy Green next summer. Can’t believe we haven’t gone before now actually! If you have not visited, I highly recommend it.
