Funny how things happen. I watched TWiT Photo yesterday and the featured photographer was Catherine Chlamers. This lady raises, photographs and videos bugs . . . and some snakes . . . and rodents. Pretty much everything from that point in the food chain on down. Pretty interesting.
This afternoon I heard something and discovered this fly was caught in a spider web that I didn’t even know was on the window sill in my office at work. Before I knew it the spider came out of hiding and moved in for the kill. So of course I whipped out my iPhone and took a photo. This is cropped in close so it’s fairly small, but it’s amazing hie much detail it picked up.

Sometimes the effect of the sunset is better than the sunset. Not this time, lol, but I still liked what the evening sun was doing on this well cared for grove of pines.

Happy Mother’s Day! This is a piece of art that Savannah brought home from school for Amy on Friday. We had a great Mother’s Day and I hope you did too. The inscription says:
I’ve made some May flowers with my fingers and thumb, so you’ll have these memories for years to come!
Oh, and another significant thing about this piece is that it is one of the first of Savannah’s pieces with a cursive signature. Her class learned some cursive over the last couple of weeks and she is very proud. Me too!

Savannah’s school gave a reward to the students who read a certain number of books and she was one of those students. They got tickets to the Nashville Sounds minor league baseball game.
Savannah is not a sports nut to say the least, and she thought it was boring, but we had a good time.

You could call this a test if the iPhone camera lens’s ability to leep lines straight. I think it does an excellent job for a point and shoot camera, much less a phone.

I had every intention of posting a one year update on the Primal lifestyle I started on last March, but I’m behind. This will be a quick version since today’s photo is related.
My total weight loss last year was thirty pounds and I’ve kept all but four or five pounds off. I’ve been moving less and eating a bit more since starting work at my full-time job in October, but I’ve kept up my fitness routine and I’m continuing to gain strength. I’d like to start keeping track of percent body fat instead of weight, but haven’t found a good way to do that.
Anyhoo. . . In an effort to get the weight started on a downward trend, I decided to do an intermittent fast today. It was tough! Sometimes it’s nearly effortless, but not today. That’s why today’s photo is significant to me. I broke my fast with these fajitas. Are they still fajitas without the tortillas? Close enough. They were wonderful!
